A huge part of growing healthy hair is proper nutrition (i.e. internal care is just as important as external care when it comes to hair growth). Long story short, your hair cells are the last cells to be serviced (or, I should say, hair cells are the last cells to receive nutrients from your daily food intake) because the body caters to the needs of the vital organs first. With that being said, it is very important to get a good amount of nutrients in your system everyday to ensure your body has enough nutrients to go around and enable your hair to thrive.

Vitamin C, B-complex (the B vitamins), omega fatty acids, antioxidants, protein, and many other nutrients are excellent for strengthening, growing, maintaining scalp health, and promoting shine. Below are a few smoothie recipes that will help you promote healthy hair growth from within.
